Flatbush Zombies released “New World Order” earlier this week as a one-off single. The track marks the group’s first new music since releasing their second full-length album, Vacation in Hell, this past June.
Flatbush Zombies recently wrapped a European tour. The group is scheduled to perform at Tyler, the Creator’s annual festival, Camp Flog Gnaw in Los Angeles this month, with a lone gig scheduled in Milwaukee on December 21st.
As for Swerve - he defends his DEFY World Championship at DEFY PDXIII “City Of Thornes” on November 24th in Portland, Oregon at the Hawthorne Theatre against "the Weirdo Hero” Randy Myers. (sans Flamethrower, of course.)

New weekly video series DEFYNOW starts Friday, March 16th!!
DEFY Wrestling is pleased to announce the next phase for DEFY video content with a new weekly streaming program entitled DEFYNOW.
The DEFYNOW moniker, previously used as an event title for smaller scale live events will now be the name for DEFY's flagship online program - featuring matches, interviews, and promos directly from DEFY live events, DEFYNOW will also incorporate documentary-style pieces and music videos to create a "television-like" experience in a shorter format.
"I think for a lot of people - brevity is appreciated and we want to try and present a streaming show that really highlights the matches, the vibe, and the experience of being at a DEFY live event without insisting folks commit a full 3 hours at a time. We think creating a show that is short, consistent and well produced will resonate with an audience that perhaps digests many other forms of content in that very way - like podcasts, blog posts, tweets, episodes of a web series - we think there is a happy medium between powerful content and short-form presentation specifically produced to live on the internet and not on TV." - JIM PERRY // DEFY Owner
The first episode of DEFYNOW will be available starting next Friday, March 16th for subscribers to DefyOnDemand.com - as well as partner channels such as HighSpots Network, Demand Progress, PCW Ultra On Demand, CZW Studios and more.
In the near future viewers can expect DEFYNOW to appear on the IMPACT Wrestling streaming platform GWN, in addition to being featured on the Amazon Prime channel "Powerslam Wrestling Network". For the first time, (and very soon) DEFY programming will be available on AppleTV devices.

Rich Bocchini joins DEFY as lead commentator.
The recently released DEFY5 on DefyOnDemand.com introduced a new but familiar voice to the DEFYANCE as former WWE commentator Rich Bocchini (fka Rich Brennan) joined our team as play by play commentator.
From the Houston Area, Rich came up through the ranks working for such promotions as Booker T's Reality Of Wrestling, then spent time with WWE where he was best known for commentating for Smackdown and NXT. While in NXT, Rich was the soundtrack to some of the most prominent moments in the brand's short history.
We are big fan's of Rich and his work speaks for itself. We are so excited at this chance to expand our team and streamline our production process in which allows our former commentating team oppurtunites to develop new content and to help grow alongside our business with new event and content offerings. - Jim Perry / DEFY Owner

DEFYNOW KICKS OFF OCT.26TH IN SEATTLE
DEFYNOW event series launches on OCT.26th!
It was announced at last Friday's DEFY8 that October 26th, 2017 will see the debut of DEFYNOW - an intimate event series held in "The Lodge", a downstairs performance room in the historic Washington Hall.
"DEFYNOW will be a series of smaller scaled shows that can occur between our larger numbered shows and act as an opportunity to really feature more of the best Wrestlers in the world while showcasing a greater number of upcoming West Coast and Northwest area Wrestlers." - Jim Perry / Owner, DEFY
DEFY kicks off DEFYNOW with Texas-based Indie firebrand, Sammy Guevara - who can be seen in such places as PWG, Impact Wrestling, The Crash Lucha Libra and other top indie promotions around the world.
A presell was held during intermission of DEFY8 and all 1st-Row Tickets were sold out but some 2nd-row seats and GA standing will be available for sale this Friday, October 6th at DefyWrestling.com

DEFY WRESTLING RETURNS TO SEATTLE’S FAMOUS WASHINGTON HALL
September 29th marks the highly anticipated return of DEFY Wrestling to Seattle as the company presents, DEFY 8: KINGS AMONG MEN. This star-studded event will be topped by two huge main events!
Returning is the DEFY Champion, “King of Swerve” Shane Strickland who has been successfully defending his championship around the globe and may be heading into his toughest challenge to date as he faces former UFC Fighter and one of wrestling’s hottest newcomers, Matt Riddle.
DEFY 8's second main event comes with the return of former WWE Intercontinental Champion John Hennigan. The man is known by many different names including John Morrison, Johnny Mundo or as recently seen on IMPACT Wrestling, Johnny Impact! His return will be met by his biggest test to date as he defends his Pacific Coast Wrestling Heavyweight title against former Olympian, the Hawaiian strongman Jeff Cobb!
Another championship will be defended September 29th when Pacific Coast Wrestling Light Heavyweight Champion Douglas James defends his gold against the Ravenous one, Randy Myers. This will be both wrestlers debut for DEFY Wrestling and are planning to make a huge impression on the Defyance.
Possibly the most anticipated event of the evening is the triple threat match involving Taya Valkyrie taking on Nicole Matthews and DEFY Tacoma Cup winner Christina Von Eerie who will be accompanied by her husband Scotty Mac. With three of the best wrestlers in one match, we can guarantee these women will tear the house down.
Also making his debut to DEFY is Brody King who will be colliding with Big Jack Cunningham in a battle of super heavyweights. In tag team action the Amerikan Gunz, Mike Santiago and Ethan HD will be locking up with the Hungarian brothers the Vörös Twins! Also in action will be Carl “Catch” Cunningham, Rebel Kel, Clark Connors and more!

At last night's FEST Wrestling's event "X-Mas in July" in Gainesville, Florida - it was announced that Shane SWERVE Strickland will defend his DEFY Championship at FEST on SEPT 3rd (pending him getting through Lio Rush on August 3rd's DEFY Presents THE CRASH Lucha Libre in Tacoma, Wa. Tickets on sale now at DefyWrestling.com) Also last night, UK's Martin Stone beat out MR 450 to become the DEFY Championship #1 Contender.
This begins a working relationship with FEST Wrestling that will feature the DEFY Championship being defended at future FEST Wrestling events.

DEFY WRESTLING RETURNS TO TACOMA’S TEMPLE THEATER
After last month’s successful debut in Tacoma, DEFY Wrestling makes its return to the City of Destiny. Thursday, August 3rd to the Temple Theater Grand Plaza Ballroom, at the Landmark Convention Center, 47 St Helens Ave, Tacoma WA 98402.
DEFY Wrestling’s return marks the start of a partnership with Mexico’s hottest promotion The Crash Lucha Libre. Legendary star of Mexico, and former WCW wrestler Konnan said, “working together with DEFY is a win-win for fans and the wrestlers!” This partnership will see the appearance of exciting international stars intent to make their mark on wrestling in the northwest. Included is the one and only Jack Evans, who dubs himself the “Prince of Parkland.”
Evans born in Tacoma Washington, who was raised in Parkland left the northwest to become a major international star based out of Mexico and stars in the highly acclaimed Lucha Underground television show. This will be Evans first match in Tacoma in well over 10 years. He will be pitted against 2004 Olympian, the powerhouse Mr. Athletic Jeff Cobb!
Possibly the night's most anticipated match (and the main event) will see the newly crowned DEFY Champion, “King of Swerve” Shane Strickland against Lio Rush. A rematch between the men who in April had what many longtime fans called the best professional wrestling match they’ve ever seen live! Rush will attempt to capture the DEFY Championship and take it with him. This could be Lio Rush’s last independent match in the Northwest as he just signed a contract to compete with Vince McMahon’s World Wrestling Entertainment’s NXT brand
August 3rd will see the debut of Ring of Honor star, Flip Gordon. Gordon who has made a huge impression on the wrestling world will be taking on “the Puerto Rican Sensation” Mike Santiago. Also competing is Ave Rex and Sonico, Los Sexi Mexi’s. The Luchadores will compete with the tandem of Big Jack and Carl Cunningham.
Last month the women of DEFY had one of the most amazing matches of the evening. Hot off a tour of Japan, international star Cat Power will be making her DEFY Wrestling debut. Many other great local and international stars will be gracing the ring at the Temple Theater, you will not want to miss it!
